My name is Stuart Finlayson, and I lead Forres Community Church. I feel called to reach the unchurched in our community, particularly young people and families, with the Good News of Jesus. My heart is to help them become active disciples of the Lord.

Our mission is based in Forres, where we seek out spiritually curious people and offer them ways to come around the Bible, experience God in His Word, and choose obedience to Him.

We’ve seen God move in incredible ways. He has blessed us with a number of people coming to join Forres Community Church, especially young people. Slowly but surely, the network is growing.

Pioneering this work has been possible through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, my apostolic gifting, and the training I received from the Forge Pioneer Ministry and Church Planting Course.

Right now, we’re in the midst of planting a New Worshipping Community. Depending on the outcome of our funding applications, this mission will either continue or not. In this season, we are simply waiting on Him.

To others who are pioneering, I would say: Pray – Listen – Discern – Act – Pray.

We would greatly appreciate your prayers. Please pray that we would be in agreement with what God wills for this place. Pray that people we meet would become curious, that our conversations would lead others to take their first steps as disciples, and that we receive the funding needed to continue. Finally, pray that people with skills in administration and planning would join us in this mission.
